At Pro Computer Repairs & Sales (PCRS), we stand by the quality of our repair services and products sold. This policy outlines our warranty coverage and return procedures for both services and products, ensuring compliance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Section 1: Warranty for Repair Services

Scope of Warranty

PCRS provides a limited warranty for all repair services performed. We guarantee that our services and replacement parts will function as described under normal use conditions.

⚠️ This warranty covers only the specific repairs performed and the parts replaced. It does not extend to unrelated issues or subsequent damage after service completion.

Warranty Period

  • Labour: 30-day warranty on all repair services.
  • Replacement Parts: 3 to 12 months, depending on the manufacturer’s warranty.

Limitations of Liability

PCRS is not liable for:
❌ Subsequent issues unrelated to the original repair.
❌ Consequential loss or damage, regardless of cause.

Data Responsibility

💾 Customers are responsible for backing up all data before any repair service. PCRS is not liable for data loss during repairs or data recovery attempts.

Warranty Claims (Repairs & Services)

📩 To make a warranty claim, please provide:

  • Original proof of service.
  • Device assessment at PCRS.

If the issue is covered under warranty, we will repair or replace the defective component at no charge.

Section 2: Warranty & Return Policy for Products Sold

PCRS offers a “Return to Base” (RTB) warranty for all products sold through our /shop category.

1. Change of Mind Returns

We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days, subject to the following conditions:
✅ Product must be unused and in original condition (with all packaging & accessories).
✅ Customer must request a Return Authorisation Number (RA#) from our support team before sending the item back.
Buyer covers return shipping costs.

Restocking Fee

📌 A 25% restocking fee applies to all change-of-mind returns.
⏳ Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days after return approval.
🚫 Shipping fees are non-refundable.

2. Product Warranty

📌 Warranty Period:

  • Brand-New Laptops & Devices: 12-month manufacturer warranty unless otherwise stated.
  • Refurbished Products: Warranty duration is as stated on the product page.

⚠️ Warranty Exclusions:
❌ Physical damage, liquid damage, or signs of misuse.
❌ Battery degradation due to normal wear and tear.
❌ Software issues, viruses, or data loss.

3. Warranty Claim Process (Product Sales)

1️⃣ Contact our support team at info@procomputerrepairs.com.au with the issue details.
2️⃣ Return the product to our designated address (buyer covers shipping to PCRS).
3️⃣ We will repair or replace the item and cover return shipping back to you.

Typical repair turnaround time: 1-2 weeks. If a repair is not possible, we will offer a replacement of equal or greater value.

Section 3: Consumer Rights Under Australian Law

This policy does not exclude your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product or service:

  • Has a major fault or does not meet acceptable quality standards.
  • Is not as described or fails to perform as expected.
